A southern California native, Dr. Barba earned a Bachelor of Science degree in psychobiology and her Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA). She is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), the Jersey Shore University Medical Center Continuing Education Study Club, the Gordon Christensen International Study Club, the American Dental Association (ADA), the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD), the American Academy of Clear Aligners (AACA) and the New Jersey Dental Association (NJDA). Most recently, Dr. Barba has earned the distinguished Fellowship Award from the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD).

As one of the best cosmetic dentists in New Jersey, the continual journey of learning remains important. Dr. Barba has expanded her resume to include being certified in facial rejuvenation procedures such as Botox®, Juvederm® and KYBELLA®. As a strong believer in feeling good about yourself both inside and out, she is continually elevating her skills. Most recently, Dr. Valerie Barba completed a MasterClass on jawline reconstruction.

Married for 36 years and blessed with four children and two grandchildren, Dr. Barba enjoys family life and prioritizes wellness in mind, body, and spirit. You will often find her running on the Spring Lake, NJ boardwalk or enjoying the ocean air by Manasquan Beach. Her music ministry at St. Peter’s Church in Point Pleasant Beach, NJ as a Leader of Song and choir member is also especially fulfilling.
